CAPRESE MICHELANGELO
A picturesque village at the mountain with forests and springs,
Caprese was the hometown of Michelangelo Buonarroti, son of the
local podestà, who was born the 6th of March in 1474. Inside
the house and at the Rocca you find the Museo Michelangiolesco,
which feature several moulds and photo reproductions of the works
of the genius of sculpture. A fascinating open-air museum with contemporary
works and a monument dedicated to Michelangelo by Arnoldo Zocchi
from the beginning of the 20th century.
