San Casciano dei Bagni is an ancient thermal resort which
is located at the slopes of the mountain Monte Cetona. It offers
two high-class spas in a green area with several warm springs, which
represent a panacea for the treatment of rheumatism.
The
medieval historical centre of San Casciano is very charming, and close
to the spas you find a church which dates back to the 11th century,
with a clock-tower and a portal from the 13th century, and remains
of primitive frescoes inside.
