Gambassi Terme is a small centre with agricultural and artisan
traditions close to the border of the province of Siena. In the
centre of the village you find the Chiesa dei Santi Jacobo e Stefano,
from the XIII century, and the Palazzo Podestarile, restructured
in the 16th century.
From
Gambassi Terme you reach the Pieve di Santa Maria a Chianni, built
in the 13th century in a Romanesque-Pisan style, which houses sculptured
capitals with symbolic decorations. Not far from the village you get
to the spring of Acqua Salsa, known since centuries, around which
there are modern and relaxing spas.
