EQUI TERME
Lunigiana offers a marvellous spa, next to the Apuane Alps.
Equi Terme, a typical medieval village in the natural landscape,
has been known since the Romans for its extraordinary water, which
bubbles at 27°c in the valley close to the village. Today the
visitors can enjoy an oval-shaped swimming-pool, departments for
the treatment of respiratory diseases, a sauna, a bubble-pool, and
specialist treatment. The small village of Equi Terme faces the
canyon with the same name, a narrow gorge made by the river in the
middle of a wild forest. The speleologists can ask to be accompanied
to the caves.
