COMANO
Small tourist resort already famous in the 19th century,
Comano preserves the remains of the Castle which the king Ugo gave
to his wife Berta in 983. It was the seat of the government of Castruccio
Castracani, then of the Malaspina and the Este government. Comano
offers pleasant occasions for relax in the surrounding countryside,
apart from the chance to see the artisan sculpturing stone-works.
Also visit the old Pieve di Crespino, known since 1143.
