which today only preserves the remains of the marvellous Fortezza

beginning of the 16th century to resist any attack. Today the fortress
is surrounded by a great botanical garden and hosts the Museo di

Pallerone where you find a mechanical Christmas crib made 50 years
ago, and the fortified village of Caprogliola, with the boundary
wall built by the Medici family and still well preserved.
